Communicating and Presenting with Impact

This is a two-hour seminar that enables you to be a more effective presenter but understanding how presentation structure, non-verbal communication, voice inflection, and movements all impact the effectiveness of your message. Get these right and you’ll be in a better position to make the sale, get the client, or whatever you goal may be. (Testimonials from course participants are below.)

Using Cultural Initiatives to Shape Your Leadership Growth

This is a two-to-three-hour seminar that puts you in a position to be a great future leader. In today’s world, leadership is decision making, and the best leaders are the best decision makers. But how can you hone your decision making? Through practicing decision making in deliberate ways. This seminar helps you and your colleagues identify ways to demonstrate sound decision making, self-awareness, and critical thinking skills through leading initiatives to improve your office culture. By doing this right, you can show your effective decision making skills and prove to your managers that you’re cut out for the next step of leadership.

Testimonials from Communicating and Presenting with Impact:

“We’ve probably observed presentations from 50+ people this summer, but none were nearly as engaging, interesting, and valuable as his. True to his craft, Parker delivered a presentation that captivated all of us, and opened our eyes to some important skills we should develop. I felt this salon was not only helpful, but entertaining and fun. Plus Mr. Schaffel is just a fascinating character in general so I feel I have to mention him.”

“I found Mr. Schaffel to be reassuring [and impactful]. He said, “I am who I am and I know what I know.” DC and the workforce, in general, can be competitive sometimes; however, you have to be able to sell yourself and believe that you are putting your best foot forward. You cannot pretend to be someone you are not. These words are like a mantra that I sometimes say to myself now.”

“I’ve always been a “let’s wing it” presenter and that’s worked out for me for the most part, but this salon taught me all the ways I could be so much better. Parker was a master at what he did, and for him to hold my attention span, which is about as long as a squirrel’s, for hours just by talking takes some skill. I learned so much from him, his expertise is so valuable, he should come back to WAIP every year.”

“Parker had a lot of great lessons for professional presentations and I hope to be able to practice and transfer those skills into my work one day. Being able to speak in front of people is a very important skill. I know that getting over the fear of public speaking isn’t an issue for me, but being able to have a concise and engaging presentation that captures all aspects of your message is far more challenging. Parker did a great job of showing us how it’s done and I was really appreciative of him giving his time to teach us.”

“Parker Schaffel was entertaining and gave extremely useful advice on presentations. I am personally not an effective public speaker and I’m excited to use his advice to make my presentation skills stronger.”

“Parker’s Communing with Impact seminar was absolutely one of the most useful and practical presentations we’ve had to date. Also- entertaining! We are grateful for you!”

“I most appreciated Parker’s easy to understand demonstrations, video examples, and his laid back but firm nature.”

“Parker was very down to earth, which made it easy to engage.”

“Parker did not negate anyone’s answer without first thanking them for their contribution, and that made volunteering an answer less daunting. Also, practicing what you were teaching gave you an amazing amount of ethos.”

“I learned so much valuable information, including tips and good points for preparing presentations. I am someone who is not a fan of public presentations but you shared many great things and tools I can use.”

“Parker really cared about each person in the room.”

“I loved how easy it was to understand and put into action your tips!”

“I appreciated the tangible, straight forward strategies. There was a dialogue between the class and instructor which kept us engaged and interested.”

“Parker was very engaging and took the time to explain everything and not jump ahead. It was an honest and refreshing presentation. I hope you continue to do this for future students of this program.”

“This was a really interesting and fun workshop and I definitely learned a lot.”

“Very relevant, entertaining, and honest. Hopefully I can let you know one day that it helped me get my dream job. Thank you!”

“This was really awesome. Especially the body language and the voice usage was so useful. Your presentation skills are very impressive and your ability to share them and help us understand them was better than I’ve seen!”

“This was one of the best  sessions I’ve attended. Appreciated the content and the variety of elements you covered and how clearly you did so.”

“This was incredibly helpful. Loved the use of real examples in your presentation. Think you connected well with us.”

“That was incredible, Parker! Really enjoyed that & learned so so much that I think can be used in all aspects of communication.”

“Excellent presentation with a lot of information that I will be able to use going forward. After the Positioning point, I was so engrossed that I stopped taking notes, but I think I should be able to remember the rest. Thank you so much for sharing your insights with us!”

“Really impressive Parker. Your authenticity and generosity really came across, and it was amazing that you could keep the audience so engaged without slides.”

“There were a lot of videos/books out there teaching how to present in front of others but your is different and showed a lot of cool ideas and techniques.”

“Very effective and knowledgeable. Made me feel more confident and comfortable with presentations.”

“This was good advice and different from what I have learned before.”
