Coaching and Facilitation

I’m a Certified CliftonStrengths coach and facilitator with more than a decade of experience in leadership training and development, group facilitation, and coaching. With a diverse client base spanning government, nonprofit, and corporate sectors, I have worked with individuals and teams at all levels of organizations, from entry-level professionals to CEOs, from small nonprofits to Fortune 100 companies.

CliftonStrengths Coaching

As a Certified CliftonStrengths Coach, I work with teams and individuals to maximize their potential through a deep understanding of their natural talents and abilities. Individuals and teams that develop a strong self-awareness about their strengths are 8% more profitable, 9% more productive, and report higher levels of employee engagement and general wellbeing.

Leadership Development

What does it mean to be a leader? What’s the difference between management and leadership? How can I lead?

I’ve worked with teams for more than a decade to answer questions like these. Through leadership instruction and facilitated discussions, I’ll work with your team to help each person lead from where they are.

Group Facilitation

Collaboration, communication, teamwork…these are the fabric of highly performing teams. I’ve worked with dozens of teams to help them better work together, improve their collaboration, and enhance their communication. I have an innate ability to uncover the real issues plaguing teams, discuss them in an open and respectful manner, and build teams stronger than they’ve been before.

Facilitated Sessions

Intentional Conflict Management

This seminar uses the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Management Instrument to have participants identify and employ their personal conflict management styles to improve their self-awareness, strengthen their working relationships, move their teams through conflict faster, and set up their teams for high performance.

Feedback for Managers

This session teaches managers to use the situation-behavior-impact feedback model to give timely, concise, and clear feedback that inspires corrective or reinforcing behaviors. Through scenarios and practice, managers develop a sense of confidence and renewed energy to provide regular and ongoing performance feedback to their teams.

Become an Effective Communicator

In this session, participants learn the most important aspects of how to be a better communicator, including how to give memorable presentations, effectively use nonverbal communication, and ensure people take action on their message. The seminar also discusses the impact on communication of attire, voice inflection, movement, and mannerisms.

Improving Connection Through Vulnerability

This session helps teams create and foster deeper connection between each person. Using vulnerability expert Brene Brown’s book Daring Greatly as a baseline, participants learn how to create a vulnerable environment that leads to greater trust, respect, and connection with their teammates. Participants discuss their own histories of vulnerability, why people lie, hide, and fake, the role of connection and shame, and wholeheartedness.

Developing Your Personal Leadership Philosophy

In this session, participants develop their own personal leadership philosophies, using emotional intelligence, their innate abilities, and their own expectations to determine the type of leader they want to be going forward, setting up themselves and their teams for improved performance.

Building Stronger Networks

This seminar teaches participants the most important aspects of building a strong network, including analyzing their current networks, how to develop strong advocates and allies, and teaching best practices for how to create memorable connections with new people.
